A Book On Running and A Spiritual Journey

I got an email last week from Dr. Lani Relucio.  I don’t know her before but she emailed to send me complementary copies of her book, “Running the Millionaire Lane: A Novice Runner’s Spiritual Journey in the Material World“.  That is a long title for a book.  Sounds like another marathon reading.  😀

I can’t share what the book is about yet.  I’m still finishing the last articles of Malcolm Gladwell’s “What the Dog Saw”.  Besides, Quennie is the reading it now and she seems to be hooked on it.  She can relate in many parts of the book where Doc Lani is talking about her experience when she started running.

I even asked Quennie to read just one article of the book What the Dog Saw.  She never finished it.  But last night, Quennie was already on the 3rd chapter in Running the Millionaire Lane. So I’ll let her do the sharing of the book instead once she finishes it.

I was only able to scan a few pages.  Even if I haven’t met her, reading her accounts about the events she joined last 2008, one is the Miracle Run, it seems that I have known her before.  It’s that strange bond that connects us runners.  No wonder it can take hours and hours talking with a fellow runner.

In a nutshell, Running the Millionaire Lane is the authors personal account on how she started running and how she relates it to her journey to financial freedom and discovering something more precious than that.

One of my resolutions for next year is to read books regularly.  At least six books.  I got 7 books on running already plus this one.  So I’m fully booked for next year.  😀
