Soleus Running Watches Spotted in the Philippines

Quennie and I were walking in the mall when we noticed a new brand of sports watches being displayed.

It’s Soleus Running Watches and they are designed for runners.  Even the name of the models are numbers only runners may understand.  There’s the 10K model, the 131 and the 262.  The Soleus Watches have some similar features like the Timex watches.  But there are interesting features that makes it stands out.

For the usual features, Soleus has the following:

  • Chronograph
  • Timer
  • Alarm Function
  • Time Zones
  • 30/50/100 Lap Memory, depending on the model
  • Backlight

Soleus Running Watch

Here’s how they are displayed in the store.

And here’s some cool features of Soleus Watches

  • Large viewing area
  • Pace Mode or Target Time (Soleus 131 and Soleus 262)

It’s the pace mode that intrigues me.  This allows you to pre-set your target times for specific distance segments. This can be used during a marathon to pre-set your pace bracelet times into your watch and track your progress for each mile/kilometer segment.

No need to calculate mentally what you time is on the next kilometer.  Soleus watches will do it for you.  Of course, this will only work if the kilometer markers are in place.

How much?

I wasn’t able to memorize the price for Soleus Watches but the cheapest was around 2,900+ while the expensive ones are around 5,000+.

I’ll get back once I take a look at them again.
