Shoe Feature: Vibram Komodo Sport

I was given a pair of the new Vibram Fivefingers Komodo Sport.  This is one of the new models available at Vibram stores in the Philippines.  It has new features that makes it my favorite VFFs so far.

The Vibram Komodo Sport has been released early in 2011.  It features the same foot-glove-like design and the thin 4mm rubber outsole that mades Vibram Fivefingers a successful brand.  It seems like a combination with their two earlier models, the KSO and the Bikila and this is what makes the Komodo Sport stand out.  Check out the features and photos of the shoe.

The soles have several rubber pods.  It looks more aggressive and sporty.

The Komodo Sport have the heel and instep hook-and-loop closures for a more secured fit.

Another addition is an soft insole for a more comfortable feel.

There are lots of reflectorized material that makes this a good choice for night runs and trainings.

The Vibram Komodo Sport has a more pronounced foot arch support.

I have used the VFF Komodo Sport for travel and for a couple of runs.  The soft insole and the rubber pods made this minimalist shoe more comfortable.  I love using them especially for travel since they are easy to store in a bag.  For running, just for short distances to about 5K since I am not really strong on barefoot runs yet.
