    I like the activities. I’m in. ..

  6. rodz says:

hi my it will be first time to join in this kind of activities.
Do we have to plant trees 1st before we start the
run? and is there a singlet and other stuff?tnx

  7. bitoy says:

Hi i saw their newly upgraded price. From 21K at 750.00 before now its at 1,250.00. Even pitching a tent at their camp is at 1,250.00. Makes me think twice. To join or not to join…

  8. Alvin says:

@rodz, its up to you kung magpaparticipate ka sa tree planting. if you want to join sa run lng ok lng yon.

  9. dbron says:

Awaiting for pictures dun sa place, hehe. Madami din kasi ang di nakakaalam how it looks like sa Tanay e :)

  10. Alvin says:

    @dbron…early next week:)

  11. Alvin says:

Accommodation is per head and not included in registration fee. Registered runners availing accommodation will get 10% discount sa total amount. You can participate in the run even without accommodation.Transportation included.

  12. jujin says:

How much will it cost me if I bring a companion who will not run.

  13. alvin says:

    @jujin. Sample computation:
Runner’s registration 21K–P1,250.00-P100.00 Pinoy Fitness member
    Room Accommodation P1,550.00
    less 10% discount(P270) P2,430
    Companion Accommodation P1,550.00
    Total P3,980.00

  14. Joker says:

The accommodation prices is a big joke as it is 50% to 70% mark-up. I have checked a blog and the overnight camping with own tent was only 350/head and the standard room is only 1500 (2pax) however it has to be verified. Moreover, I love to join runs for a cause and it would be great to give every participant to plant even a single tree or adopt a tree but if not I would opt out as it seems that the activity is only geared collect and make people run and not allow them to take part of the real responsibility to get involved in any reforestation project. I understand that it is a fund raising activity or partly business however it seems beyond the limits.

  15. Alvin says:

@joker, you’re right. but did you considered the outdoor activities? the zip line, the trees to be planted by every participants and other activities prior to the event? If you think that the accommodation PACKAGE is a big joke to you, pwede namang sa run ka na lng mag participate.

Hi po. What’s the transportation details? Where’re the pick-up points and time? Do you have transpo for people who don’t want the overnight accommodation and want to come very early on raceday?

  23. alvin says:

@JP…i’ll post the transpo details soon (Pick points & time). Yes, merong tranpo ang mga runners na walang accommodation on the 26th of Feb, the run proper.

  24. JP says:

Thanks po. I assume it would be way before 5:15 am (earliest assembly time in the race for 21k) and travel time from Manila to Tanay will have to be accounted for. Sana po may tree-planting activity pa sa feb. 26. This will be my first trail run yay!

    • Justin says:

@Alvin, aside from the 200 that a non-runner would have to pay, does he/she need to pay anything else? A friend of mine will be going with me on Sunday (which means we don’t have to pay for the accommodation and the outdoor activities)

      • alvin says:

@ justin, total payment of non-runner is 350.00 which cover tranpo and sierra madre entrance fee. for payment procedure please contact 532-1645/571-0524. thanks.

Getting to Sierra Madre Hotel & Resort from QC is simple even without map.
take Katipunan road heading towards Marcos Highway (58km from katipunan to smhr). It’s just a straight route (no lefts, no rights, only curves). =) These landmarks may help you…
Go past > LRT Santolan station > Robinsons’ East Mall & Sta. Lucia East > Masinag intersection straight on towards Cogeo > past Cogeo market/bayan
    > past Padilla > Providence Memorial Park > ARC cola plantation > Buso-buso Highland Resort > Paenaan Farm > Palo Alto (from there about 14km more) > Camp site > Tablon Elem. School > onwards… with a stretch of white bar fencing and with white gate on your left) you’ll reach SMHR in about 45mins-1hour drive.

  36. Mike.. says:

To Alvin and the organizer, pls ensure that hydration along the route is ample for the no of participants..it will be catastrophic if there will be shortage of hydration..tks.
