Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2012

The 2012 Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon will be on February 5, 2012.  Run for a Reason is the theme that is given to the much awaited road race of 2012. Serving the community is the long time goal of the race, the bank launched online donation for the benefit of disabled athletes of hong kong, for eye restoration and eye care education and the anti-cancer organization.

There will be a two wheelchair races, which include the Full Marathon and a 3 km race, which can be participated by all runners. Plus, a new and convenient route, steaming hot prizes and new timing chip.

REGISTRATION

The registration for the 2012 Standard Chatered Hong Kong Marathon is now open.  Last years event received a high record number of participants, and have increased the quota from 65,000 to 70,000 persons, the largest scale in Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon’s history.

RACE ROUTE

The new route of the Marathon and Half Marathon will change course after entering central district, Participants will turn into Man Po Street after Connaught Road West flyover, then pass Man Kwong Street, Man Yiu Street and Lung Wo Road to return to Fenwick Pier Street.
