Last year’s run was bad! not running here anymore.
We do admit that our last run had its shortcomings, with it being the first time we organized such an event. However, rest assured that we learned from it and at the end of the day we are doing this for a worthwhile cause.

Suggestion lang. Mas maganda kung gawin nyong Buddy 5k sa halip na couples 5k. May run na dati na couples run and maraming nagreklamo dahil parehong lalaki mga top finishers. Para lang safe, hehehe.

so there is inequality here, me & my lesbian partner are planning to run here as couple, having been said that we’d rather not, coming fr UP ….where’s the FREEDOM?..u must specify that in couple 5k it should be straight boy & straight girl, no lesbians partners nor gays partner, shame on you
shame on them? if they don’t allow same gender runners as couples, that’s inequality. did you ever consider that if they allow that to happen, it would also be inequality on “straight” couples?
Who’s freedom was kept from when LGBT couples are not allowed? The straights? No, the LGBTs.
Unequal? Are you assuming that women are not as fast – or even faster – than men? Shame on people to think that women are slow runners. That’s sexist, and I can provide a list of female marathoners that can kick your ass anyday.
Shame indeed. Unless UP OBEM remove that ridiculous provision allowing only boy and girl as couples, I will not join this and even campaign for people not to join.

We have already decided to allow same sex couples for the 5K couples run. Sorry for the earlier announcement. We hope to see you all on March 18!
Alam nyo, masyado tayong seryoso, eh tumatakbo lang naman tayo. FUN run to, hindi debate run. Para masaya tayong lahat, each category na lang UP OBEM. May winners sa both male, both female and mixed categories.

there’s not a single smidgen of doubt in my mind that any female marathoner can kick my ass anyday (given the PR i possess), but that’s beside the point. the point here is that “couples” should be defined as a boy and a girl. but since the organizers already decided otherwise, i rest my case. but please note as well, we’ll not be running on this event. had this issue of gender not been brought up, “fun run” would have been fun indeed.

This year, we’re specifying that couples should be composed of a boy and a girl. Though we don’t discriminate, we know that boy couples have an advantage.
This is my 1st time to join your run!So excited!As long as you have ample waterproof baggage counters for each distance category,roomy rain or shine tents,adequate number of comfort rooms.and accessible water and emergency stations,and race track guides,everything will be fine..

Will you have route markers along the way? Also sana accurate maging measure nyo ng course for the benefit of runners(including me) who are gunning for a PR.
Pwede rin po bang couple ang mag-ina, mag-ama, magkapatid, magkaibigan at kahit magkasama lang sa running club?
Good and legit comeback. Hindi lang naman issue ng romantic couples yung dapat dinidiscuss dito, but the very definition of the word ‘couple’, which, incidentally, does not constrain itself to that narrow context. I don’t see the need to drag the notions of freedom and equality here if we are actually missing the bigger picture.
And oo nga pala, may beneficiary ito. Just sayin’.
masyado kasing nabigyan ng kahulugan ang term e.. kaya ako nagtanong noon na pano pag parehong babae at lalaki? hindi entitled to join? at yun nga yung naging reply ng organizer lalaki at babae to be exact ang sinabi nya. aminin man sa hindi e nakasagasa ng ibang tao yung comment na yun ng organizer..

My mom and I are willing to run as couple and I will try to convince my sister and her busband to join. Naiintindihan ko naman ang view ng organizers, medyo may advantage pag both male ang members ng isang couple. How can we resist those poor kids in Phil Heart center in dire need? Good luck to everyone na sasali I hope madaming sumali.
sa mga reklamador: kapag gusto nyo tumulong sa mga nangangailangan, hindi importante kung ano yung rules ng event. basta sumali na lng kayo para makatulong kayo. Ang pinaka importante sa mga ganitong events eh kung may nabigay nga ba sa charity o wala, hindi rules ng event.
kung gusto nyo mag reklamo sa rules, dun kayo sa gumawa ng hello kitty.
This run is for the benefit of children needing medical help. And that says it all. I think runners who really want to run for their good health (or the health of others) and for a worthy cause should support this. With due respect to Goldilocks Run, they can still survive with lesser runners.Malakas naman ang benta nila at sikat na sila. Mas kailangan ng mga batang maysakit ang ating tulong.

Registration is still ongoing at our registration sites. Registration at UP Diliman will be until Saturday, but we also accept onsite registration on the day itself.
We would recommend that you register beforehand though.

There will be finishers certificates for all, and medals for the top 10 finishers per category.

Hi org. pede po ba palitan ung category ko instead of 10k 5k na lng medyo d pa full recovery tuhod ko, kala ko ok na pero this week sumasakit ulit possible po ba un paano po . pede sa onsite na lng.
Ok naman ung run kaso meron pa din mga problem for your next run suggestion to improved your next fun run first. Be on time on your gunstart 5.30 pero nagcmula 6 na ata. 2nd ok lng water pero sana may yelo init ng manila water. 3rd sana ung certificate ok parang bond paper d presentable 4th false alarm sabi nyo dito hanggang 10placer may award all categories un pala hanggang 3place lng… Hope next year my improvement thanks.
