The Run BGC 2011 will be an exciting event because of its new challenges like the Flag Football for 3K and 5K runners. Making this year’s Run BGC a level higher is the category of Flag Football. Apart from the straight run race, this category starts with a run, then moves to an individual play of catching a football while defending flags and shifts back to a run to the finish line. Plus you get a chance to win a trip for two to Australia on a 4 days – 3 nights tour package any time within 2012.

I love running in BGC because it gives me tranquilty. I can’t explain the feeling I had when running on the roads of BGC, it is simply great, with all the runners also sharing the same passion, and after a sweaty run, you can just visit the running establishments there to be updated to the world of running, or just relax and take a sip of the cold blended coffee. A very busy yet a peaceful place to run, that’s why I just love BGC.

I love running in BGC because it’s the most accessible and runner friendly venue for me allowing me to run either before or after work.
My passion for running is like the way I tackle my job of sportscasting on television – it may not be that rewarding financially but at least for a few hours I give the best performance for my audience who I owe a lot for inspiring me to last in the industry. I admit, it will take a miracle of biblical proportions for me to have a podium finish and its accompanying prizes but as long as there are fans cheering on the route, they are more potent than all the sports drinks and energy gels combined and that alone is the best reward I can get.

I love running in BGC because it is the most runner friendly location in the Metro. You’re safe to run alone even on early mornings. One thing more on why I love running in BGC is because of the runners and other people around. I usually get smiles and good mornings that can surely makes my day. I even met my present boyfriend while running/jogging there last year.

I love running in BGC because it is the home of passionate minds. It is my home. It nurtures my running passion with its scenic view and tidy roads.
