Borneo International Marathon 2013

Borneo International Marathon 2013 will be held on May 5, 2013. Blessed with rich biodiversity and beautiful nature, Sabah became the major tourist destination in Malaysia. Likas Stadium flag off – wherefrom runners make their way to the coastal highway. Upon reaching the roundabout after the Sabah Trade Centre, turn left and run along the Likas Bay leading to the city centre, passing Jesselton Point, eventually running between Wisma Merdeka and Wisma Sabah.

Proceed along the central wet market, Warisan Plaza and Api-Api developments up to Wawasan Plaza where runners eventually get on the coastal highway leading up to Jalan Mat Salleh. They then turn to Tanjung Aru all the way to the First Beach whereupon they make a turning at the loop before making their way back along the same route to the north.

Upon reaching the coastal highway after Jesselton Point, runners proceed all the way along the Likas Bay, passing the Tun Mustapha Tower roundabout, UMS and 1Borneo up to the turning point at the northern loop, before turning back on the same route to finish at the Likas stadium.
