Render Farm 26.2 Itogon Challenge 42K (Benguet)
The Render Farm 26.2 Itogon Challenge will be on September 9, 2012 at Itogon Benguet. Experience the pristine beauty of Itogon and take pleasure gliding the road while navigating the 26.2 miles (42.195km) long and winding, uphill and downhill marathon route. This is really a challenge for any one whether an elite or newbie runner. This is the kind of event where most runners haven’t encounter yet going by an unpolluted and car-less path, trees left and right, one or two houses only to be seen after few kilometres. The road is cemented and sandy. Nice views all around including the majestic Binga Dam. There is only one route from start to finish. No chance to lost the way. Yes fellow runners, joining the event is worth an experience. Lots of thrill. Loaded with ecstasy. Filled with pleasure.

Wow! Nice. Kaso sabay sa Bohol 42k. Mahahati nanaman 42k runners.
Hopefully maglagay din sila ng registration dito sa manila to accomodate yung mga gustong sumubok to run the cordillera mountains.

Requesting the organizer to come up with a finisher’s T-shirt. We would consider this a very significant event and wearing a finisher’s T-shirt would make the participants proud. It would be ok for us (at least, for me) to shed off a hundred pesos or two just to have that:-), that is, kahit for sale na lang after the race…hope this recommendation will be considered…
Finally, nakapgparegister na ako sa ARC. Hoping to get the singlet & race bib on the race day. And sana magkarun din ng finsher’s shirt as a souvenir.

From Itogon Municipality as the starting point, runners will pass Sofang then turn right towards to Tinongdan then to Sitio Baloy up to Gueset then right to Ambuklao road making u-turn after Adunot bridge and back using the same route.
Meron po bang inns and or motels sa Itogon wherein to stay overnight? (Para maiwasan ung chance a maiwanan sa race day…) Thanks!

Sana itong event na to nakalagay sa hindi tag-ulan. Hindi rin kasi maeenjoy yung view pag pangit yung panahon. Sana January na lang nilagay. Sayang.

3 days before the event ang release sa Baguio. Yung mga galing outside Baguio ay 2 days before or during race day. I-inform po sila for claiming of singlet and race number, transport going to Itogon at iba pang details. Thanks

Anu balita sa event na ito?
this race is apparently cancelled.. i received a txt message from the organizer to refund my reg fee on a certain date this close to the race due to reported landslides accdg to him.. sad
Perhaps the organizers can just distribute the race kits pending determination of the new race date – “postponed” kasi (and not “cancelled”) ang ginamit na term ng organizer.
I received a text message from the organizer and I qoute:
“Advisory. Itogon 42k evevent is postponed on Sept 9. You can refund your registration fee at Runners Circle. Road rehabilitation is on damage by hard rain. Advice later. Thanx.”
