adidas adiZero adios Boost Review

adidas adiZero Adios is the running shoe that broke several world records in a marathon. Geoffrey Mutai won the New York City Marathon last November 2013 wearing the new adidas adiZero adios Boost. That’s what it takes to be a champion runner!

I was able to run with a pair of adidas adiZero adios Boost last week. They felt great on the feet. I love the bouncy ride of the Boost technology and how light these shoes are. Below is my adidas adiZero adios Boost review .

PROs

  • Bouncy Boost. The adidas Boost technology really gives a light and bouncy ride.  It’s like running with a spring on the feet. While the Boost midsole is not as thick as the adidas Energy Boost, it’s cushioning is still noticeable.
  • Execellent grip and traction.  It’s the first time I get to use a Continental Rubber for the outsole.  Continental is known for their rubber tires that keeps cars, light trucks and SUVs on the road.  The same brand is now in every adidas adios Boost.  It has a good grip even on slippery surfaces.
  • Durable Outsoles.  The rubber outsoles are strong and durable.  adidas adios Boost would probably last 600-800 kms even when used on rough surfaces.
  • Fast and Lightweight.  Sometimes labeled as a racing flat, adidas adios Boost is designed for fast running.  It’s great for speed, tempo runs and mile repeats.
  • Impressive History.  As mentioned in the first paragraph, the adidas adiZero adios line of shoes have been used by elite athletes who not just wins prestigious marathons, but would break world records and course records.  If they can beat their PRs, I would trust these shoes to break my personal records, as well.

CONs

  • Roomy toebox.  The shoe seems to be too wide.  I would need thicker socks to get a snug fit with the adios Boost.

SUMMARY

adidas adiZero adios Boost is an excellent shoe all-around shoe.  Just simply take them off the box and you’re good to go.  I did not need long break-ins for the shoe.  They are great for short speed runs but I would like them best for half marathons and full marathons.  The adidas Boost would surely help lessen fatigue with it’s superb cushioning.  With it’s Continental Rubber Outsole, these shoes are ready for any road conditions.
