Brooks Transcend Review

Broosk Transcend is the newest innovation from Brooks that features the Super DNA, Guide Rails and Ideal Pressure Zones.

Brooks want a feeling of “Float” when you run with their shoes and this is the experience you will have with the Brooks Transcend.

The Transcend is now available at the Brooks Concept Store in SM North Annex, RUNNR BHS, Trinoma, ATC, and Cebu, Toby’s Sports MOA, The SM Store MOA, and Toby’s Online. It retails for 7,995.

Here’s my Brooks Transcend Review after about 30 kilometers of mileage.

PROs

Very Foamy – Is this float? Brooks Transcend has very thick layer of midsole making it look very chuncky. But that chunck provides the most cushioning and most protection for a running shoe.

Premium comfort – You’d feel a huge diffence in the soft insoles when you wear the Brooks Transcend without socks. It’s like putting in pillows. I don’t feel anything rubbing on my foot from all sides.

Snug Fit – The eyelets for the shoelaces are attached to the upper and allows a more customed fit. It’s wide enough on the sides with just the right space for the foot.

Durable and Well-Tested – I only ran 30Kms with the shoe. But Jonel of FrontRunner Magazine and an ultra marathoner ran more than a 100 kms with the Brooks Transcend. I take his word for it that these shoes are durable and can last for miles.

Heavy and Yet… – Brooks Transcend is a heavy shoe that weighs 12.2 oz. It’s not meant to be a racing shoe or for chasing PRs. But it’s plush cushioning doesn’t make it feel heavy. It even feels fast sometimes.

Brooks Transcend Review Summary

Brooks Transcend are great for runners who are looking for a stability shoes and are mild to heavy pronators. If you are heavy, these shoes will be great and would suit you very well.

The cushioning is very plush and comfortable. These will help a lot during long distances. Even though it weighs on the heavy side, your feet don’t easily get tired and lessens the possibility of injuries.
