BlueAnt Pump HD Sportsbuds Review

BlueAnt Pump HD Sportsbuds are designed to endure the tough conditions for any sports. It has a rugged military grade design to protect it from water and debris. For runners, you won’t worry if they get wet on the rain, or get soaked in your sweat or even dropping them while running. The BlueAnt Pump is made to withstand these. Check out my BlueAnt Pump review below.

I love using earphones when running. Listening to music is a great way to heighten the mood and even the speed while running.

However, getting the earphones wet in the rain or sweat could lessens its lifespan. Once water or sweat seeps in, the buttons would no longer work and the wires gets brittle. In worst cases, the earphones would be broken and useless.

BlueAnt Pump Review

The BlueAnt Pump uses Kevlar and Teflon enclosures to seal the speakers. Thus, BlueAnt Pump is built to withstand heavy exposure to wet conditions. You can use it when it’s raining and even wash it after a sweaty workout. It is the only wireless headphone to carry an IP67 rating.

PROs

Waterproof. The BlueAnt Pump is an all round headphones. You can use it in most weather conditions. You can wear them whether there is rain or snow. (Just hoping there will be snow here in the country). It is not recommended for swimming but I read others who tried it without having issues afterwards.

Wireless. I really love earphones that are wireless. It’s every liberating to be tangle free from the usual wires. BlueAnt Pump uses Bluetooth to connect to your music player. Enjoy great music with complete freedom and confidence.

Big control buttons. It looks bulky but the big buttons makes it easy to locate the right controls to press.

Pounding Bass. The bass quality is really nice especially when I use the secondary ear fit piece.

Long Battery Life. Eight hours long of play time is just right for me. I don’t have to charge it every time I use it. Since I can finish a marathon longer than five hours, I can be sure the music is still playing when I reach he finish line.

Accessories. A great fit is key to a comforatble listening experience with an earphone. The BlueAnt Pump comes with 7 pairs of eartips (doubles of each S/M/L pairs and a pair of Comply premium awareness tips), 2 pairs of stabilizers, and a separate cable zip.

CONs

Stiff Ear Fit Piece. The BlueAnt Pump comes with a secondary ear fit piece which you can attach to make the fit better. It’s completely optional but I prefer to use it since the audio becomes fuller with a tighter fit. However, it is made of stiff plastic that hurts a little after prolonged use.

Travel woes. It doesn’t come with a bag or a carrying case. So when you travel, you just insert it in any pocket like the way you place your chargers in a bag. It’s a bit bigger than the usual earphones. Better yet, I suggest buying a small pouch to keep them secure.

BlueAnt Pump Review Summary

Waterproof and wireless are the big features of the BlueAnt Pump. It’s the first earphones that provides both these most wanted earphones and they nailed it.

The audio quality is not really outstanding but good enough for me to enjoy music for those long and boring runs. The generous set of accessories ensures that you’ll find you fit with the BlueAnt Pump.

It’s cheaper than other wireless sports earphones yet it comes with an IP67 rating not found in other brands.

With the unpredictable weather, the BlueAnt Pump Sportbuds is the best music companion for this season.
