Skyathon 2015 Race Review

My First Race

It was a weekend of firsts for me – first plane ride, first time in Boracay, and first run! I registered for the 5k run with obstacles. I had no training prior to this race but since I have an active lifestyle doing yoga, weights, and teaching Zumba, I feel confident that I will do good in my first run.

Running by the beach was fun. The view was beautiful and the breeze was calming. However, I felt like I need to do more endurance training if I’m going to pursue running. The obstacles were fairly easy but I bruised my knee due to the long sand crawl.

I think it took me about 1 hour to finish the 5K w/ run with the obstacles. Hahaha. Now, I’m officially a runner. Woohoo!!
