Saucony Unveils Nomad TR in Conquers Trail Series

Saucony athletes and friends from the media recently participated in the last leg of the Conquer Trail Adventure Series, held last September 13 at Tanay Adventure Camp, Rizal. Global performance brand Saucony successfully launched its newest innovation, the Nomad TR, which was then worn and tested on the trail by esteemed runners and key media representatives.

Trail Runners
Present for the Saucony Nomad TR test run were Joy Antolin of Team Herbalife and Coach PJ Rivera, along with media representatives Rhoel Fernandez of spin.ph, Jinoe Gavan of Takbo.ph, and Jeff Lo of PinoyFitness.com. The team joined the 11Km trail run wearing the new Nomad TR over various hilly terrains with rock, mud, and water.

Leading the charge for revolutionary trail running shoes, the Saucony Nomad TR comes in features built to weather any off-road surface with guaranteed comfort and stability. The Nomad TR’s Flexfilm is an exceptionally engineered exoskeletal frame melded to the upper to provide an almost seamless, sock-like feel. The Pro-lock lacing system secures optimal midfoot fit, where the foot is snug on the cushion even if running uphill or downhill.

The run in Tanay has been triathlete Joy Antolin’s debut in trail running and he affirmed the Flexfilm overlays’ comfort as he ran sockless for the length of the 11km run. Coach PJ Rivera, on the other hand, believes that the Pro-lock worked “fantastic”. “When you do lots of downhill and when you’re slipping a lot, your toes would jam up against the corner, but in these shoes, my feet were stable inside, I didn’t feel it moving around” he adds.

Veteran runner Jeff Lo shares that the Nomad TR “feels like you’re running with normal shoes built for rugged conditions”. Writer Rhoel Fernandez then adds that the Nomad TR is the “nearest thing for a mountain bike on your feet”, commending the weight and traction while hiking the hill side.

One defining feature of the Nomad TR is its PWRTRAC outsole made of a tacky rubber compound designed in a diamond-shaped pattern that provides supreme traction and adapts over changes in terrains.

Runner Jinoe Gavan shares, “It doesn’t have lodges like typical trail shoes but so far, the traction is great even on different surfaces.” The athletes commended the Nomad TR’s foot support while running over muddy ground, all the while relishing the comfort even when running over rugged soil and dirt
