Takbo.ph Around the World: Running the Scotiabank Calgary Marathon 2016

This is our first post for running around the word. We want to keep in touch and we want to know where our friends are running wherever in the globe they may be.

Our running friends Jai and Maan are now in Canada. Jai shared his first running adventure as a race volunteer for the Calgary Marathon Race Weekend.

No car? No problem. I have explored downtown Calgary on foot by running as a pace bunny for the 50km (6:00 hour finish) on the 52nd Scotiabank Calgary Marathon.

Maan, on the other hand, volunteered as a photographer for the Canadian Diabetes Association during Calgary Marathon.

Scotiabank Calgary Marathon is a premier running event in Calgary Alberta Canada. It is open for runners of all ages and abilities. It is also the Canada’s longest running marathon and voted the 2009 & 2010 & 2012, 2013, 2014 Best Road Race in Alberta.

There is a 50k Ultra, full marathon, half-marathon, 10 km, 5 km family walk or run and kids’ marathon. The 53rd Scotiabank Calgary Marathon will be on May 28, 2017.
