Rizal Mountain Run 2017 15/30/50K (Rizal)

After its successful launch last year, the second installment of the Rizal Mountain Run 2017 is set to once again blaze the trails of Pintong Bukawe, San Mateo Rizal on January 29.

Just an hour drive from Metro Manila, the mountains of the nearby province of Rizal is a favorite playground for some of the countries elite trail running athletes. This year’s RMR promises to give you an adventure unlike any other.

15K– perfect route for those who are new to trail running. The trail features single tracks, dirt roads, fire trails and river crossings that the locals also use to travel to their farmlands and neighboring barangays.

30K– consists of  the same trail features but with steep descent to a nearby valley that traverses Palikpik Buwaya and a “hell of a climb” to the geographic feature known as the Devil’s Down. A challenging route for intermediate and advanced trail runners.

50K– showcases the full loop of the surrounding mountains of Basekamp in San Mateo Rizal. Expect a challenging route that will take you further into Mt. Parawagan, the remote village of Sitio Malasya and the neighboring Barangay Puray in Montalban, Rizal.
