Trail Talk Speakers

Together with PinoyTrails, Hoka One One invited two familiar trail running faces as speakers for their Trail Talk Segment.

Joseph Sibal was the first one to give his presentation where he shared his many experiences, on the local and international trail running races he joined. Sibal was among the Filipino delegation who participated in the Ultra Trail Mont du  Blanc (UTMB) in Chamonix, France and is considered as the largest trail running event in the world.

Fondly called “Papi Otep” in the local trail running community, Sibal also shared several tips for newbie and regular on how to prepare before their big race. He emphasized on the proper nutrition and workouts which can help trail runners perform their best.

Melanie Hingpit, the second speaker, was the 2017 Mount Pulag 100 female champion and new course record holder. Hingpit shared her story on how she started in trail running and her preparations in conquering one of the toughest trail races in the country.

She also jokingly shared some of her preferred trail food- egg, banana, sweet potato, and a chocolate malt drink. Her cartoonish animated presentation surely brought a few smiles and giggles. But make no mistakes; the lady is one tough cookie.

Hoka One One Shoes

Several Hoka One One users also gave their testimony about the quality and performance of the brand’s latest offering such as the Clifton 2, Challenger Atr 3, and the Speed Goat 2.

Hoke One One is also the sponsor of the upcoming STAR Trail Race 2017 this coming December 10, Sunday at Tanay Adventure Camp in Rizal.

For those who are wondering what “Hoka One One” (pronounced as “o-ne o-ne” and not “wan-wan”), is a Maori phrase that means “fly over the earth.”
