Xiaomi FreeTie Running Shoe Review

Xiaomi has opened it’s official Mi Store in the Philippines. Among their product offerings, the Xiaomi FreeTie Running Shoe caught my attention simply because it is sold for only 995 Pesos!!! It is probably the cheapest running shoe in the market today.

I owned a few Xiaomi products already. They are cheap compared to other brands. But their specifications are just as good. The price might tell you that Xiaomi products are of poor quality. But from my experience, Xiaomi products are legit. My Mi Phone performed well and my M90 Luggage Bag had been with me for about a year without any problems. Thus, I can say that the Xiaomi FreeTie Running Shoe is worth looking at.

Unfortunately, the store doesn’t carry my shoe size yet. But looking at it from the display, the upper materials feels good. It looks neat and comfortable like most knitted upper. The knitted upper design can even be mistaken for an expensive brand. So the price of 995 for this running shoe looks like a steal.

The rubber outsole is lighweight, flexible and soft which are its selling points. A Xiaomi FreeTie Running Shoe review in Youtube says that it is great for walking and he felt it to be comfortable even if you use it for a long period of time.

But about it’s durability? Well, it doesn’t mention what material was used for the outsole. It simply says rubber unlike other brands that use EVA rubber compounds. Thus, I don’t think the outsoles of the Xiaomi running shoes will last as long as the other brands. But I think the upper knitted material will hold on very well.

Personally, I would like to get my own pair of Xiaomi FreeTie Running Shoe. I am also interested in their other fitness products like the Mi band, AmazFit and the YunMai Smart Scales.  I even learned that Xiaomi has several models of running shoes already under their name.
