Adidas PulseBoost HD Unveiled at Night Mile Race in Intramuros

Adidas Philippines held a Night Mile Race last August 24 at Intramuros, Manila where they also introduced the all-new PulseBoost HD.

The 6-mile relay race requires teams composed of five members to log-in at least a mile each. The last runner of each group has to run another extra mile or two miles in total. Hundreds of runners, including members of the adidas Runners Manila (aRM), ran  the relay race in the midst of a cold drizzly night.

The Night Mile Race starts and ends at the Batala Bar in Intramuros and courses along the historical streets of the old capital. The race has two categories- ELITE for intermediate and advanced runners and OPEN for beginners and adept runners. Teams can also be all male, all female or mixed.

“The Night Mile Race is a great way for our runners to experience the new innovation in boost technology as well as to celebrate the anniversary of adidas Runners Manila. We are very proud of what the team has achieved in just the past two years — a highly engaged Facebook group with thousands of members who have, in one way or another, worked on their running goals with aRM”, said Jen Dacasin, adidas Brand Communication and Sports Manager.

Adidas Launches PulseBoost HD

Some of the participating runners also get to try out the Adidas PulseBoost HD. The all-new Pulse is the first silhouette from Adidas to feature the Boost HD technology. The shoe has the same benefit of the Boost cushioning material which is known for its impressive energy return. In addition, the Boost HD is more geared towards stability than its neutral shoe brethrens.

To sweeten things up, Adidas also equipped it with other useful features such as:

  • Continental™ Adaptive Traxion, which is a rubber outsole designed by the Artificial Intelligence company which provides maximum grip. This feature allows the runner to quickly change directions regardless of surface, whether dry or wet.
  • Adaptive Knit which has been a staple feature of most Boost shoes. The flexible upper material stretches where the runner needs it most giving that comfortable fit.
  • An accessible custom Spotify playlist which you can open through a QR code integrated on the shoe’s tongue. The exclusive playlist is based where you are in the world.

The all-new PulseBoost HD is available in-store and on adidas.com.ph/pulseboost for only Php 6,500.

Winning teams of the Night Mile Race were also given a pair of the PulseBoost HD as part of their prize.
