VIRTUAL RUNS 101

Is the distance to be ran at one-time or accumulated?

We have two types of Virtual Runs: the Monthly Virtual Runs and the 1DAY Virtual Runs.

Monthly Virtual Runs
Compared to most road races, the distance for the Monthly Virtual Run will be accumulated. It is not a one-time run. So you can run a few kilometers in a day until you reach your target distance of 21K, 50K, 100K or 200K. You can run anytime and anywhere. Monthly Virtual Runs have at least 30-day duration.

1DAY Virtual Runs
Similar to road races, the distance should be completed in a single run only. But you can run anytime and anywhere. The 1DAY Virtual Runs have no cut off time unless otherwise specified. 1DAY Virtual Runs have at least 3-5 days duration meaning you can choose any date to complete the single run.

Where will the event be held?

Virtual runs are not like your typical road races. So there is no specific venue for the run.  Instead you can run anytime and anywhere.

You can run in the morning, afternoon or evening. You can run once or multiple times in a day.

You can run on the road, trails, beach, or even indoors using a treadmill.

Just be sure to track all your runs and upload them in your dashboard for us to monitor and count.

I dont have a GPS watch, can I still join?

Yes, you can still join.

You can use any FREE running app from your Android or iOS smartphone. Strava, Runkeeper, Runtastic are some of the common running apps that can be used. Other apps are also OK. Just take a screenshot of your run and upload it to your profile or account. You can check our list of common apps here. http://www.takbo.ph/2017/12/best-running-apps-track-runs/

If you run on a treadmill, you can take a photo of the treadmill dashboard and upload it to your profile or account.

Can I join even if I am outside the Philippines?

Yes. You can join and run anytime and anywhere.

However, the entitlements can only be shipped to a Philippine address.

Is run/walk allowed?

TRACKING MY RUNS

How do I track my runs?

To track your runs, you need to submit a screenshot or a photo of your run that shows the distance and the time.

If you are using a GPS watch like Garmin, Soleus, Suunto and others, you can take a photo of your watch and upload it.

If you are using a fitness band like Fitbit, Fossil Q, Jawbone, Mi Band, Apple Watch, Samsung Gear and others, we recommend submitting a screenshot of its partner app since it has a more complete data.

If you run on a treadmill, you can take a photo of the treadmill dashboard and upload it to your profile or account.

RUN SUBMISSIONS

Can I still submit previous runs before I registered?

Yes, you can. All runs within the duration of the Virtual Run are valid and will be counted as long as you register within the registration deadline. So it’s like Run Now, Register Later. 😀

However, we strongly encourage you to register early. This helps us prepare your kits on time and deliver them on time as well once the Virtual Run ends.

Why was my run submission REJECTED?

There are several reasons and below are the common ones.

Wrong Time Format. Submit the time as HH:MM:SS. Thus, a time of 30 minutes and 15 seconds should be 00:30:15 and not 30:15:00.
Incomplete Screenshot. Your screenshot should have BOTH the distance and the duration of the run. So be sure to check your photos or screenshot before submitting.

Send us a message at our Takbo.ph Facebook Page for clarifications on your submissions.

Why is my run submission still PENDING VERIFICATION?

It means our moderators are still viewing the run submissions.

We receive hundreds to thousands of run submissions in a day. It takes time since we manually check and verify each submission. While we try to verify them within 1-2 days, there will be days where have to catch up from all the runs submitted.

Rest assured that we will get to your submission as soon as we can. We are also looking for ways to improve this process. Stay tuned for updates on these developments.

In the mean time, while waiting, have another run. 😀

I made a mistake. Can I edit my run submission?

Currently, for security purposes, there is no edit or delete button. If you made a mistake, just resubmit your run. Our moderators will review and reject any duplicate entries.

I can’t upload my runs on the website. What should I do?

If you can’t upload your runs, please try the following:

  1. Use a different browser than the one you are using.
  2. Try using a desktop instead of a mobile device.
  3. Try to upload your runs at another time.

If you still can’t upload your runs after trying the suggestions above, please send us a message in our Takbo.ph Facebook page.  Include a screenshot of the problem or any of the errors you may have encountered.

ENTITLEMENTS AND DELIVERY

When will I receive my entitlements?

Ideally, the entitlements will arrive to you 5-10 days after the end of the event if you are in Metro Manila. For provincial addresses, it can take 10-15 days.

However, due to manufacturing delays and courier scheduling which are beyond our control, there may be slight delays to the delivery of your entitlements.

If you still haven’t received your entitlements after 15 days, feel free to get in touch with us by sending us a message through our Takbo.ph Facebook Page.

I received the wrong entitlements. Can I have it corrected?

Ooops. If you received the wrong medal or the wrong singlet size compared to what you have signed up for, please send us a message in our Takbo.ph Facebook page so we can check how we can best resolve it.

Note that change in distance category or shirt size is no longer allowed once you have registered for the event.

I did not finish my target distance, do I get the entitlements for the lower distance instead?

Sorry but change in the distance/category is not allowed once you have registered.

I still have not received my entitlements, what should I do?

Please send us a message in our Takbo.ph Facebook page so we can track your entitlements with the courier.
