No Speed Limit 2013 3/5/15/21K (Ateneo)
No SPEED Limit (NSL) is an annual benefit run organized by the Ateneo Special Education Society (Ateneo SPEED), to be held on February 10, 2013. It aims to offer a ONE OF A KIND route reaching the city of Marikina, highlighting the use of Marcos Highway. This year, NSL offers 3K, 5K, 15K, and now both 21K solo and 21K tag!
This run is for the benefit of Independent Living Learning Centre (ILLC), a school catering to the needs of children with developmental conditions. Ateneo SPEED aims to provide ILLC with extensive faculty training and teaching resources.

Do you plan to use timing chip? There is no clear mention of it. Bar code scan gives pretty poor results.

Our Registration Booth in the Ateneo will be running until January 25 while our Registration Booth in ROX, Fort Bonifacio will be running from December 14, 2012 to January 25, 2013.

Yes, we are open to all who are willing to join.
21k NSL (P950) is pricey as compared to 21k RUseries (P900).
But what’s the difference?
1. Finisher’s kit (medal & shirt vs. medal, shirt, & other loots)
2. *CAUSE (for a cause vs. no particular cause)
3. Principal Sponsor (ADMU org vs. UNILAB)
4. Diff. route
5. No. of Registration outlets (more reg. outlets pls.)
6. Gun start
[05:40am for 21k is too late, for 21k beginners it might took them 3hrs or longer. Exposing runners to health hazards (higher % of air pollution and body overheat)] Kindly make the gun start early.
So to end my comment, what are your reasons to run? I hope if you are planning to join this event, one of your reason is for the cause not the rewards. 🙂
P.S. I used RU series as a basis in comparing prices, since Runrio organized events, except MILO, are generally with the highest prices. They are the one’s who started the pricey registration BUT with lot of freebies.

I’m wanna run for 15k. Still having a bit of a hard time running 10k but I guess i can make it at 15k if I train for the remaining months. Are there samples of singlet, finisher’s shirt and medals?

mga sir/madam @NSL 2013; nakikiisa ako sa panawagan ng karamihan, sana imove nyo yung gun start ng 21K, masyado ng mainit ang 5:40am! kht na gawin nyong 4:45am or 5am? Pg-iisipan ko ng mabuti kung hindi mapapalitan ng gun start, malalagay ang aming kalusugan. Tnx!

Late na po iyong 5:40am for 21k.
estimated Finished time of 21k Beginners/1st timers:
a. w/ no training-just willpower- >3hrs (9am onwards)
b. w/ training and willpower- >=3hrs (8am – 9am)
estimated Finished time of 21k Intermediate runners: in bet. 2-2.5hrs
estimated Finished time of 21k Advance runners: <=2hrs
I think, our benchmark should be the beginner category.
8-9am sunlight is harmful for a runner upon reaching the finish line since the body is tired combined w/ the sunlight and smoke from the vehicles.
Recommendations:
Option 1 – move the gunstart to 4:40-5am
Option 2
a. provide sponges and/or showers in 5km, 10k, and 15k mark.
b. hydration stations in every 2km
c. banana station in 10k and 15k mark.
I presume that the reason why 5:40am is the gunstart for 21k is because of the security of the marshals since they are mostly students, if that's the case I prefer option 2. 🙂
I'd like to try 21k tag(new category), I'm looking for a running partner for my buddy is not available. As of this time, I can finish 10.5k in 40-55mins. (Basta ako una tatakbo ha para di pa ganun kainit. Libre ko na lang iyong merienda.haha)

As for the parking arrangements, the race kit includes a gate pass that will allow you to park inside the Ateneo.

LRT line 2 Cubao Station to Katipunan Station (open na ang LRT ng 5am) Sa left exit ka lumabas, opposite side of PSBA-QC. Lakad konti papunta dun sa ilalim ng flyover.
Sakay ka ng jeep na may signage na UP, baba ka ng Ateneo. 🙂
Pero kung gusto mo ng 1-ride lang, sakay ka ng taxi from Valenzuela to Ateneo 😀

Nakaka walang gana tong race na to I went to ROX this morning ang around 11 am sabi 2 pm pa daw dadating yung sa registration nitong race na to so I wait until 2 pm mag rregister nako pag balik ko ang sabi wala daw sample singlet and sa January 18 pa daw ang claiming ng bib tapos hanggang January 25 nalang ang registration

Also, follow-up question. Nag-register na kami online, but there’s an option to select if ship-out or pick-up. Shipping and Handling is 210 fixed. So if there’s no shipping of race kits of any kind, what is this for? So babayaran namin sa BDO account ng RunnersRunners is 800 na lang and we stil need to pickup the kits? Pls. confirmed and advice. Thanks
Our apologies, there has been a misunderstanding. You may have your race kits shipped if you’ve registered only through Runnersrunner. But we do highly encourage you to pick up your race kits instead.

Hello runners!
We would like to apologize for the misunderstanding regarding the shipping. We have been informed that there is an option to have your race kits shipped ONLY if you register through Runnersrunner, otherwise all race kits must be picked up at our registration areas or picked up on the day of the event itself. We highly encourage everyone, however, to pick up their race kits at our different registration sites before the race day.

Also, please do take note that NSL 2013 is the official No SPEED Limit account here in (www.takbo.ph). Disregard any account that may announce “race details” otherwise. If there have been any official announcements, rest assured that this account (NSL 2013) will be the one to report it here.

Online registration via Runnersrunner will close on February 3, 2013. If you don’t make it to the deadline, don’t worry. You may still register on our registration sites until February 8, 2013!
We also have a team from NSL going to UP Diliman on Sundays to attract the many joggers there! Simply look for us around the Oval, a bit near the Oblation Statue, and you may register on the spot!

Well apparently if you paid via takbo.ph then you will be wasting your time going to ROX to claim your race kit. I wish you guys had clarified.

Is there any way to claim my kit elsewhere besides ateneo? My work is in taguig area and by the time I get to Ateneo your booths will probably be closed already. I wish to claim the kit before race day. Thanks

To see the faces of our contented and happy runners is wonderful. But to see the children of ILLC, our beneficiary, on stage during race day, was our real reward.
