Run Pawikan Run will be held on February 09, 2020 at the San Juan, La Union.

Coastal Underwater Resource Management Actions or CURMA is a sea turtle (pawikan) conservation program under the socio-civic organization, SIFCare. CURMA aims to protect turtle nests from poachers and other predators so that all pawikan hatchlings can make it safely to the ocean. Since 2010, they have released over 17,000 hatchlings, made possible through voluntary activities such as coastline patrol and hatchery management by the locals and even visitors in San Juan, La Union.

To celebrate CURMA’s 10th year anniversary, the public is invited to Run Pawikan Run on February 9, 2020. This eco-friendly event aims to increase awareness, engage various communities, and raise funds to help CURMA sustain their valiant conservation effort. A FUN RUN ALONG THE BEACH is open to people of all ages on February 9, 2020, here in San Juan La Union.
