National MILO Marathon Returns After 3-Year Hiatus

The National MILO Marathon made its much-awaited return on March 26 with its first leg held in the SM Mall of Asia Complex. Over 12,000 runners participated in the event, which featured 3K, 5K, 10K, 21K, and 42K race categories. This marks the marathon’s 44th iteration and comes after a three-year hiatus.

MILO ACTIVE PILIPINAS Launch and Virtual MILO Race

The marathon’s return follows the brand’s MILO ACTIVE PILIPINAS launch in January, which encouraged the nation to go from couch to court with the help of MILO’s energizing nutrition and sports programs. To further ease Filipinos back into sports, MILO also introduced its first-ever Virtual MILO Race, allowing over 2,000 runners across the country to join the marathon festivities virtually.

Runners of All Levels Participate

The National MILO Marathon welcomed seasoned, casual, and first-time runners alike. Among the podium finishers was James Kevin Cruz from Montalban, Rizal, who won the gold medal for the 42K run men’s category. The event also saw casual runners like 10-year-old Kjerstin Janikka R. Schei, who shared that her running experience was “relaxing especially [since I trained] and I haven’t done it in a long time.”

Fun Activities and Cheer Dancing Competition

In addition to the races, attendees enjoyed Active Zones that introduced kids to taekwondo, basketball, and sepak taraw. MILO also hosted a cheer dancing competition for elementary, high school, and college divisions.
