MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Adidas has officially entered a new category of performance footwear with the launch of the Hyperboost Edge, a lightweight “super-trainer” designed to deliver elite energy return without the use of carbon plates. Released today, March 17, 2026, the shoe retails for PHP 11,000.00 and features the debut of the Hyperboost Pro midsole technology.

The hallmark of the Hyperboost Edge is the Hyperboost Pro foam, a high-performance material engineered for maximum cushioning and energy return. Unlike traditional racing shoes, the Edge contains no plates or stiffening elements, allowing the foam to work naturally with the runner’s gait.

The shoe boasts a substantial 45mm rearfoot stack with a 6mm drop, weighing in at only 255 grams. According to Patrick Nava, GM of adidas Running, the goal was to create a “transformative” experience that balances lightness, responsiveness, and impact protection for both daily sessions and high-mileage training.

The development of the Hyperboost Pro foam involved extensive laboratory testing and consumer research conducted by the University of Cologne. In a study involving 60 runners, the Hyperboost Edge significantly outperformed participants’ current footwear:
