Baby Gab Prefers Walking Barefoot

Gab is now 9 months old.  We are training him to walk.  He likes it when his bare feet touches the ground.  He would give a big smile, squeal in delight and start lifting his feet.  But watch what happens when we put on a pair of shoes for him.

The first video was at Mothercare in Greenbelt 3.  Mothercare sell great baby products from clothes to strollers.  They also have shoes for infants from newborn to 12 months.  We gave Gab a pair of shoes to wear.  He doesn’t like it.  He doesn’t want to make a single step.

So we removed the shoes and asked him to move towards Mama. His feet moves so quickly.

We are not giving up yet. We tried looking for other options. We thought he prefers a softer and lighter shoe or a shoe with thinner soles. So we went to StrideRite which is just in front of Mothercare. They have a good selection of quality shoes for infants.

First, we let Gab walk without shoes inside the store. He looks so happy and so active.

After that we had Gab try on another pair of shoe.

Obviously, he is still allergic to shoes. At least he saved us from buying a 1,700+ worth of shoes.

We bought socks that have thick layer of cloth at the soles. Little by little Gab will get used to wearing them and maybe eventually, get used to wearing shoes.

Gab and his shoesGab still doesn’t look happy with this covered feet.
